Join our wellbeing pilot

Find out what’s on for your wellbeing in your community!

Staffordshire County Council and Sentimoto are piloting a new wellbeing application that encourages positive lifestyle change.

We’d love for you to be a part of it! Are you a 40+ Android smartphone user and live in Staffordshire?

Huawei phones and Android < 4.0 are not currently supported.

The pilot

As part of the public health programme, Staffordshire County Council is working with digital health engagement company Sentimoto to test a new mobile wellbeing application.

We will be evaluating whether the My Kin app can help encourage positive lifestyle change by promoting wellbeing resources, such as physical and social activities available in the community and online assessment tools, and by providing feedback on personal lifestyle measures.

To take part you need to:

  • Own a phone that runs Android
  • Be Aged 40+
  • Be based in Staffordshire

What to expect

1 – During the pilot the application will occasionally prompt you to ‘self-assess’ your health through trusted NHS tools.

2 – For the duration of the pilot you will receive activity and event suggestions in your local area that could support you in improving your health – think yoga, running groups, volunteering opportunities, and much more!

3 – The app helps you keep track of factors that contribute to good health. Four wellbeing indicators provide personal lifestyle insights and any changes over time.

To learn from your experience we would love to hear any feedback throughout the pilot and will ask you to complete a short survey at the end.

Why join

Our objective is to help increase physical activity and community engagement through a free and engaging application.

We are just starting out – your participation will inform the development of the app and help turn it into a truly useful tool!

Most importantly we hope you will enjoy using the app to:

1 – Get a better picture of your wellbeing and information on how to address concerns.

2 – Try out something new! Find out about local activities that are fun, interesting and suited to improving your wellbeing..

3 – Learn something about yourself!
